Typically, a kangaroo court is characterised by a biased or predetermined outcome, lack of due process, and disregard for the rights of the accused. The term is often used to criticize a legal process that is perceived as unjust, arbitrary, or conducted for the benefit of one party over another. Kangaroo courts may be established by individuals, organisations, or authorities seeking to exert control, intimidate others, or manipulate the outcome of a dispute or legal matter.
