In a legal context, “minutes” typically refer to the official written record of the proceedings or actions taken at a meeting, hearing, or trial. These records are maintained by a designated individual, such as a secretary or clerk, and are often required to be accurate and comprehensive. Minutes may include details such as the date, time, location of the meeting, a list of attendees, motions proposed and their outcomes, decisions made, and any other relevant discussions or actions. They serve as an important record of the events and decisions made during legal proceedings and may be referred to in future meetings or used as evidence in legal disputes.
