Finally, the third party must have suffered harm or incurred damages as a result of their reliance on the apparent agency relationship. This harm can be financial, reputational, or any other form of damage that can be attributed to the actions of the agent.
Apparent agency is an important legal concept as it allows injured parties to seek compensation from principals who may have indirectly caused harm through the actions of their agents.
