Molestation
Molestation
Quick Summary of Molestation

Molestation refers to the act of engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour or conduct towards another person, often involving physical contact or coercion. This behaviour can range from unwanted touching or fondling to more serious forms of sexual abuse, including sexual assault or rape. Molestation can occur in various settings, such as within families, institutions, or communities, and may involve individuals of any age or gender. Victims of molestation may experience physical, emotional, and psychological harm, and may suffer long-term consequences, including trauma, trust issues, and difficulties in forming healthy relationships. Perpetrators of molestation can face criminal charges and legal consequences, and addressing and preventing molestation often requires education, awareness, and intervention from law enforcement, social services, and community organisations.
